Director of The Lymph Clinic, Meadbh MacSweeney practices as a medical integrative healthcare therapist and Clinical Nurse Specialist in Lymphoedema. She has specialised training for the treatment of patients with Lymphoedema & Lipoedema and is the only certified teacher of the Dr Vodder method of Manual Lymph Drainage (MLD) in Ireland. Recognising the uniqueness of each individual and her passion for the whole person to be treated has led Meadbh on a most exciting professional journey, training as a Health Creation mentor and integrating healthcare therapies into the hospital setting bringing her wealth of knowledge directly to the patients.

After completing her nurse training, Monica staffed in the UK, South Africa and Botswana. She trained in complimentary therapies: Reflexology, Remedial Massage, Aromatherapy and Advanced Orthopaedic Massage. Returning to Ireland, she established the Bio-Health Centre 1997 and gained extensive experience treating cancer patients for the South Eastern Cancer Foundation as a Complimentary Therapist. She then qualified in Manual Lymph Drainage and Combined Decongestive Therapy at the Dr Vodder School, Austria. Monica achieved a Master’s Degree in Lymphoedema Practice at University of Bradford in 2013. Monica treats a range of conditions including Primary and Secondary Lymphoedema, Lipoedema and related conditions. She is a trained garment fitter
Norah is a Chartered Physiotherapist who, following qualification, spent many years working in the acute health care system. As a clinician she gained general experience in Ireland and the US, specialising in rehabilitation and later in management of Lymphoedema, qualifying from the Vodder School in 2005. As Physiotherapy Manager at University Hospital Galway, she developed and supported a Lymphoedema service for patients following treatment for cancer. Norah currently works in Baily Point Physiotherapy Clinic, Salthill, Galway, where she provides treatment for Lymphoedema and Lipoedema. Her goal is to support and optimise independent living for individuals with these conditions. Norah is a member of the Irish Society of Chartered Physiotherapists, is CORU registered, and a certified CDT Therapist.
Elaine Grehan is a fully qualified Manual Lymph Drainage and Decongestive Lymphatic Therapist with almost 10 years experience. She currently works in a number of cancer centres in the Galway/Clare area, while maintaining a practice at home near Athenry, treating both Primary and Secondary Lymphoedema and Lipoedema. Elaine’s philosophy is to facilitate Lymphoedema patients in managing their own condition and achieving the best possible outcome for their quality of life and general health and wellness.
Meabh is a Registered Nurse with over 10 years experience in the acute health sector, with a strong interest in Complex Lymphoedema, Vascular Disease and Wound Management & Tissue Viability. She graduated BSc (Hons) in General Nursing from Trinity College Dublin in 2008, and went on to undertake a Graduate Diploma in Specialist Lymphoedema Management at the University of Glasgow (2014) and a module in Vascular Disease Management at Edge Hill University, Liverpool (2015). Meabh is a certified Casley-Smith MLD Therapist, and is currently undertaking an MSc in Healthcare Quality Improvement at Trinity College. Meabh runs the Midland Lymphatic Clinic in Mullingar, Co. Westmeath and is passionate about providing person-centred care.
