NCCP & Lymphoedema
Grant aid has been awarded by the NCCP to fourteen community Cancer Support Centres to develop or expand lymphoedema services during 2022. A yearlong impact monitoring study has commenced under the supervision of a research consultant.
This study will show that delivering these services through community cancer support centres has a positive impact on the quality of life for cancer patients who need them, and that this delivery model provides good value for money. This will also assist with integrating the Cancer Support Centres as part of the patient’s pathway of care & with building a structured funding model in the future.
