Clare Kelly

Clare is a Senior Physiotherapist with extensive post graduate training in the area of neurological and musculoskeletal rehabilitation including OTAGO Falls prevention. She is a qualified pilates, barre, vinyasa and yin yoga instructor and has been teaching mixed level individual and group classes for 12 years. Her personal experience of supporting family members with cancer led her to complete a scholarship in PINC Cancer Rehabilitation for women and Next Steps Training for cancer survivors with PINC & STEEL in 2020. She has lectured on the subclinical signs of lymphoedema and Cancer Rehabilitation for the Irish Society of Chartered Physiotherapists. Cancer Rehabilitation is a specialist area of physiotherapy that supports people to address and manage side effects of cancer surgery and treatment including lymphoedema. Clare established Pura Vida Physio, providing consultations, individualised exercise programmes and group classes to support women with Cancer to stay active throughout their treatment and to shift the focus from illness to wellness. She set up a Get Ireland Walking group with Louise Flavin in 2021, organising free national walking events to promote the importance of exercise during and after cancer treatment.
