
Amy Walsh
Amy is a certified Cancer Rehabilitation Physiotherapist having completed her training with PINC and
STEEL international. Cancer rehabilitation helps people living with or who have had a cancer
diagnosis from initial diagnosis and into survivorship. Amy is a Dr Vodder Certified Manual Lymph
Drainage Therapist. Amy runs exercise classes for men women in West Cork and believes fitness,
strength and health self-management is so important, irrespective of diagnosis, to not just function
but to fully participate in all aspects of life.
Amy is lead and founder of “Ladies who Launch” a Ladies Cancer Kayaking group and “Steel
Paddlers”, a men’s group. Amy believes exercise, especially in the outdoors, has a very big role to
play in mental and physical wellbeing and is pivotal in rehabilitation. Amy is currently undertaking a
Masters Program in Outdoor Education and Wellness .
